Professional LVP Cleaning

A growing trend and one of the most popular flooring options people choose today is LVP. LVP is short for Luxury Vinyl Plank. More and more we see this option installed throughout the main living areas of a home and sometimes even throughout the entirety of the home. Many of the newer options are sold as waterproof making it a great choice for a floor, even in wet areas. Because it has only gained popularity in the last few years you don’t find a lot of companies who professionally clean this type of floor. SacSurfacePro professionally cleans LVP floors and can restore them to like new condition.

Many of the LVP options out there have either a textured or uneven surface which can make cleaning them a difficult task. Some even have gaps in between planks where dirt can accumulate over time. LVP is fairly easy to keep clean if taken care of weekly. LVP, like any other flooring surface, does need routine cleaning and maintenance. At some point down the road it will get enough dirt built up in the grooves and voids that a deeper clean is necessary. The main culprits are like any other floor. Traffic, dust, spills, animals, parties all contribute to the floor getting dirty and dingy looking over time.

SacSurfacePro has professional equipment to deep clean your LVP flooring. We have perfected our process to leave your floors bright and clean. Many times we see brand new construction homes that have very dirty LVP because the floors were installed in the middle of construction and there’s dust, dirt, and stuck on spills. We also see existing LVP floors that need regular professional cleanings because of the amount of traffic and daily abuse they are subjected to. All floors will get dirty over time and LVP is no exception. We recommend an annual deep clean to keep your LVP floors in pristine condition.

Our process is as follows:

  • Lightly pre spray a cleaner to loosen the dirt and soil
  • Scrub and extract the dirt and soil with our professional equipment

  • Clean edges by hand to remove dirt and soil around the perimeter

  • Supply client with a “no rinse” concentrated cleaner to maintain the LVP

Our equipment uses dual scrubbing action to agitate the dirt and soil which breaks it free from the surface. At the same time the moisture is extracted by dual vacuum squeegee ports leaving your floor nearly dry. Typical dry time is between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.

Like cleaning any other type of flooring, it can require the tedious back breaking, physically exhausting chore of being bent over for hours get your floors looking clean again. Save the frustration and have us do the dirty work. If you’re looking for a better way to deep clean your LVP floors and restore that “like new” look give SacSurfacePro a call today! Care Guide For LVP Floors

Below are our recommended steps to maintain your LVP floors:

  • Always sweep or vacuum (no beater bar!) to pick up debris and loose particles that can scratch the finish.
  • Damp mop (don’t flood) high use areas weekly with microfiber mop and a neutral pH cleaner.

  • Use a “no rinse” cleaner to maintain LVP. NOT products that say they add shine!
  • Always pick up furniture instead of sliding heavy furniture as you can damage the finished surface

  • Place mats at entrances or in front of kitchen sink and stove to catch dirt and sand that can damage the floor. Latex or rubber backed mats can turn the flooring yellow so these are not recommended!
  • Do NOT use a polyurethane or acrylic coating to add shine to the floor as this can damage the flooring.
